Tulane Center for K-12 STEM Education Virtual Teacher PD - February 2023

Teachers of 3^rd through 8^th grade students are invited to participate in Tulane's online teacher professional development this February!! Are you ready to be creative, imaginative, and out-the-box thinkers? Join the Center for K-12 STEM Education team as we explore aspects of the engineering design process and its integration in your classroom. The primary goal of this PD is to help you better understand and apply the engineering design process (EDP) to the science performance expectations in which different engineering performance expectations are aligned.
 

Thanks to the generosity of Shell and The Joe W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation, we are offering a 1-day virtual professional development workshop.

The workshop will be 2 hours of live sessions on Saturday, February 4th from 9-11am and 1-2 hours of on-your-own-time independent or group work (total of 3-4 hours). Participating teachers will receive a $75 stipend upon completion of the PD. 

Teachers must participate in all parts of the workshop to be eligible for the stipend! Space is limited and preference is given to teachers from majority free or reduced lunch schools and teachers already in the classroom. There is a $20 refundable deposit that will be refunded to teachers upon completion of the PD.
